Since spring 2022, I have been an undergraduate researcher (“UROP”) in Prof. Tess Smidt’s group.

I am an admin for the MIT Educational Studies Program (ESP), which runs events for middle and high schoolers throughout the year.

I was one of the co-directors of 2022 Spring HSSP, and I am currently co-director of ESPider (initiative to create a new ESP website).

History of the Western Orchestra: from Spark 2023, an overview of how the standard Western orchestra’s instrumentation and repertoire has developed over time, from the Baroque period to the present.

Goofy Instrumental Renditions: [alternative title “Weird pieces of classical music”] This is a 5-minute class from 2022 Firestorm (big freshman recruitment event), no musical knowledge necessary. I was surprised that this actually fit in 5 minutes.

Tonality in Western music: This was a class I lectured during 2022 Spring HSSP.
